I read this and came to realise that God is directing my steps and because His mind and intellect are way beyond mine, why even bother to try and work out what He is doing. All I am really called to do is obey. I don't have to understand. Chances are I won't. I often do looking back, but not going forward, it is a matter of faith.

So no matter where you are today, know that God is directing your steps.

How He chooses to direct us may depend on how responsive and obedient we are to start with. As parents we make a request and if it is not actioned, it becomes more strident and often results in punishment or withdrawal of privileges to make them obey. I do understand that.

Be of good cheer. God is in control and He knows what He is doing even if you can't figure it out.  Just trust Him and do what you are told!
