We had a fantastic testimony come through of this old lady of 79 years of age that lives in an old age home that was at one of our meetings in the weekend of 10TH June 2006 in Johannesburg.
(I also just want to say that this particular testimony is extra precious to us, as this old lady turned out to be the mother of another very special friend of ours!)
Also, you all would have read from all our newsletters that we have a very special friend we love very much, that is both a talented and anointed musician which comes with us to many churches, crusades etc to minister to the body of Christ…….(His name is Gunther).Well, as we all set up our sound equipment at the beginning of our meeting on Saturday 10th June 2006, then this older lady….…
- (who comes from a very staunch catholic background - been tormented by demons from over 20 years - had not had a proper night sleep at night for over 20 years - never being able to feel the presence of the Holy Spirit before - was a very strong alcoholic - also having no control over her bladder and kidneys) said that the moment Gunther started to practice singing his songs while setting up....she felt some kind of peaceful presence in the room. Then when Gunther sang and ministered with one of his anointed songs called RAIN, she said she immediately felt something happened and brake spiritually inside of her, and it was like she was free to feel God's presence for the 1st time. Then after the sermon when Des was ministering and calling people up the front who needed healing, she came forward on her walker and was totally physically healed by God. That night when she went back to the old age home - they did not have to put nappies on her, as her bladder and kidneys were totally healed. The next 2 days at the old age home, the doctors did tests on her and have proclaimed her to be supernaturally healed by God. Also, She also slept like a baby for the 1st time in over 20 years without being tormented by demons.......... ALL TO THE MIGHTY GLORY OF GOD!!
HAMMANSKRAAL We took a whole load of people from Johannesburg with us this night as we all went up to Hammanskraal to minister in a local church up there. This night was a very special night as the Lord showed the people his power and love by moving miraculously in signs, miracles, healing, prophetic and music! Gunther sung again for the crowd there, and prepared the way for the preaching of the word from Des. Once again – his music was very anointed of God, and deeply touched the hearts of all present in the meeting! After Des had finished preaching, there were sssooooo many people that came forward for receiving ministry and healing, we had all our guys from Jo-burg also there up the front ministering and praying for the crowd that came forward. It was a very special and anointed evening, with not one person walking away from the meeting without feeling the presence of God and being met by him in some form. There were many prophetic words of knowledge, and many people slain in the spirit. Many healed from depression, demonic oppression, addiction, demonic spirits, also many having received healing from different illnesses! We thank the lord for his goodness and mercy, for his love shown to the people, and his gentle sweet aroma that filled the house of God that evening!
JACOB’S WELL: Des, Gunther and Ros headed down to the bottom of Johannesburg and ministered there at Jacobs well. (A prophetic conference) in Walkersville. Gunther sung with great passion and anointing once again ministering to the people, and then Des came after and preached. Again – God moved very powerfully by his Holy Spirit in the areas of healing, prophetic, miracles, and through music. Many were also slain in the Spirit, as God moved powerfully, deeply touching their hearts and dealing with their lives.
PRISON MINISTRY We went once again to visit the inmates in the men’s maximum security prison in Johannesburg in July. Des spoke on Ezekiel 37 to the men about the valley full of dry bones, and if they could live. It was an excellent word for the men there and many gave their hearts over to Jesus for the first time. There was much interference spiritually trying to take place during this latest visit. A lot of banging on metal doors etc. There was a large group of at least 20 guys that came out into the courtyard very quickly about ¾ of the way through Des’s message and began to hang around the outside of our group meeting (we had approx 100 inmates receiving the word there at our meeting) , and appeared to plan what was “a hit’ on our ministering group. Of course PTL they did not succeed, as Des sensed in the spirit what was happening and stopped in the middle of his message and suddenly rebuked the spirit of rebellion and anarchy! One inmate that was at our meeting quickly ran off to find a prison warden while the rest of the inmates that were there listening at our meeting suddenly began to join hands together and started to worship God through song. The group that came out to do damage and destroy quickly dispersed and ran off in all directions. We thank the Lord for his protection, as there were no prison guards present with us or our group in the courtyard while the meeting was happening. There were also two women that went inside the prison with us that day, and by the grace of God – we all came away unscathed and praising God for his goodness in the situation! Not one of the team members were fill of fear, but all trusted in God.

Ministry at Kriel We ministered again at Kriel at Roepersfontein Ministries at the end of June here in South Africa. Once again the Lord powerfully moved and ministered to the lives of many people present in both services. Des spoke on pursuing the promises of God, and the woman with the issue of blood in Mark chpt 5! Many people came forward at the end of the sermon for various reasons, and there were some also who gave their hearts to Jesus for the 1st time!
REVIVAL MEETINGS IN JOHANNESBURG TOWNSHIP We had the privilege of being the guest speaker at some tent revival meetings that were taking place in a township area of Johannesburg. The people that made up this township were mainly of refugee status. Many of these people were facing unemployment and poverty.
We had three incredible nights with Des preaching and Gunther ministering through song. The people were really challenged, touched and very excited as what was happening in their community.
