We just want to thank the Lord at this point for his goodness and faithfulness, as we have had many challenges over the past few months with major hurdles to get over. But God is ever faithful!
ALL GLORY TO HIS NAME!!
PRISON TESTIMONY
While we were last at the men's maximum security prison in Johannesburg, we went after the meeting up to the prison hospital to pray for all those that were sick and dying from HIV/AIDS and other illnesses.
One inmate was there sitting on the edge of his bed when we arrived there with a wheelchair close right beside him.
He previously had a stroke, and was very weak and still completely paralyzed on one whole side of his body, couldn't move his hands, arm or leg on that one side.
Des and the team prayed for him and then asked him to start moving his fingers around.......the man's fingers suddenly moved. So then Des asked him to open out his hand straight.....he did so!
Des then asked him to shake his hand with the hand that was previously paralyzed. The guy's hand then opened up, and he strongly managed to shake Des's hand....while constantly smiling!
Then Des said to him: "in the name of Jesus Christ.......stand and walk"
The man instantly stood up and slowly walked across the hospital floor with no help from any person, and with all eyes of the other inmates watching him.
It was truly a miracle of GOD!
His leg muscles were still quite weak, so after he walked around the hospital floor a few times Des got him to sit back down on his bed. Des told him through interpreters that he needed to keep exercising his legs in order for them to keep getting stronger. The man cried with many tears streaming down his face!!
All other inmates were also excited, as they knew that God was in their presence and had heard their prayers! Many of them gave their heart to the Lord and received Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior into their hearts that day. ALL GLORY TO HIS NAME!
NEW EVANGELISM TRUCK!
We are FINALLY able to announce the arrival of our new Evangelism Truck that will be traveling all over South Africa and beyond, helping us preach the Gospel to all races, in all levels of society.
The truck is an Isuzu NQR 500, 2005 model.
We thank the Lord for making it possible to buy this truck, and also to our sponsors for their help in bringing this vision into a reality.
Nelstroom: Catch the Spirit!
We started off our Holy Spirit weekend on Friday night with much excitement and hype from the crowd as Gunther sung and performed for everyone at Nelstroom.
After he finished singing about 6 songs Des then came on with the preaching of the word and ministry to the people.
Our good friend Bennet also came along and played his electric guitar for the crowd in praise and worship, also giving both a testimony and short word at different intervals. We ministered on Friday night, all day Saturday, Saturday night and Sunday morning in the main service. Everyone was really overtired at the end, but very pleased with how it all went and the response of the people. Many things happened that weekend with the Holy Spirit moving very strongly amongst the crowd, changing many lives!
TESTIMONY
One woman from Zimbabwe that was at our meetings stood up and gave testimony of how her son (who also came with her to the meetings) currently had a broken collar bone from playing rugby. She testified how her son was totally healed physically when Des prayed for him! Praise The Lord!
THOUGHT:
Always choose to believe in the other person's good intentions,
and to credit him with the best motives
- not the worst!
SINGLES WEEKEND
Our L.E.I team went up to a weekend camp that was held just for "singles". This was held up on a friend's of ours game farm. We ended up having a lot of fun there, playing around on quad bikes, going to a game animal auction and a South African "sookie at night (dance and poike).
(It was good for us to have a brake and a bit of fun, as in a few weeks later we were on the road holding Open Air Evangelistic Crusades in three different regions, and across boarders from South Africa into Botswana.)
NEW 20 KVA GENERATOR!
Many thanks go out to all our sponsors who made it possible for us to have custom made this 20 KVA generator (to be used for all our large outdoor Evangelistic Crusades).
This has really turned out to be fantastic, as we now don't have to rely on crazy distorted power in rural areas, and the worry of blowing
any of our sound gear, as this generator is equipped with surge protectors etc for the protection of all our electrical equipment, and is also strong enough to handle all our LOUD outdoor speakers.
IF ANYONE FEELS TO DONATE ANY FINANCES INTO EITHER OUR PERSONAL OR MISSIONS ACCOUNT, THEY ARE BELOW AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS NEWSLETTER! THANKS
CHILDREN SAVED FOR JESUS
The following testimony happened a while ago, but I wanted to write this in as a reminder that God is strongly moving amongst the youth of today all over the world, and not to take his presence amongst them lightly, but rather to continue to pray and believe in our youth.
I strongly believe we will see the youth rise up spiritually with a fresh fire of the Holy Spirit that will sweep across mighty continents!
Des was invited to speak at a nearby Anglican High school in Jo-burg a few weeks ago. It was very exciting to see how much God was moving on the young men that were seated. The first time there was approximately 120 boys, of which 95 gave their hearts to the Lord.
Des also prayed for the sick - and they all witnessed God's healing power, as deformed legs grew, cataracts gone, short sightedness gone, lumps on bodies gone, and much respiratory trouble gone also.
This high school is very staunch and religious. When Des first went - the Principle and teachers were introducing him & and calling him the FATHER,
but after all the miracles etc that God did for the youth in healing etc, everyone then were all calling Des the FATHER SAINT!!
The Principle invited Des back to speak on the next Thursday, to another age bracket of boys. This time there was approx. 110 boys with 87 decisions for Christ, with miracles again. Praise GOD!
This High school also has a great follow up system with councilors working with the school. The school told us that since Des preached there, 93% of all boys that gave their lives to the Lord have got themselves into cell (home) groups in the dorms.
All glory be to God!!
