January 2007

Hi everyone,

First of all - we thank God for all he has done for us this past year of 2006!

2006

We had a good 2006 Christmas. It was a busy time for us from October - December, and so was a good brake for us to finally go up to our friend's game farm for one week to have a rest and enjoy the game, quad bikes, pool etc and "lax out" a bit!

2007

We move into yet another year full of a mixture of ministry and fulfillment in God's holy plan for our lives, and the lives of many others he continues to lead us to.

Everyone involved in LEI are feeling very positive and confident about this new year of 2007, and believe there will be a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit with an even bigger harvest of new souls for the kingdom of God!

We are very blessed to have on board with us this year Mr. Bennet Hargenlocher from Germany. He will be working alongside us advancing his knowledge and practical experience in the ministry, while also doing his Masters in Theology.

Soshenguve Township Church Meetings

We have been up to Soshenguve for a number of church meetings in different churches.

The first was Grace Tabernacle where we found the people very hungry for the word of God and with a healthy number of young people attending.

We were very blessed that we had the privilege of being able to hand out many bibles to this church (as many in the congregation did not even have enough funds to own their own bible).

They were all very blessed. We spoke a lot about the Holy Spirit, and then and a time for the spirit to move as the backslidden and sick came forward to receive.

Our other church we visited was out in a very rural area made up of a large scattering of houses over a great distance of rural land. This church also had a wealth of young people attending the services there.

This church had no windows or doors on their building as they we still in the process of raising enough funds to finish their church off. It had sides and a roof, but a dirt floor and no windows or doors.

Even so, without the norm - once again God moved incredibly in the service and even the Pastor and his wife that we visited on our previous ministry to Soshenguve, drove up north to this rural area and were with us for this service.

Des asked all Pastors to come forward and join him in the ministry and pray for all those that were sick.

Testimony

One woman that had full blown HIV/AIDS and was very weak came to our meeting on the Sunday morning and was prayed for. After the prayer she was able to stand up from a chair herself and walk instead of having 2 ladies hold her up to move her.

Rain on me

(song)

As the summer rain comes

And smells so sweet

So too, God your rain is divine

Rain on my face

Fresh life within me

So soothing, so pure and refined

Chorus/

Rain on me Holy Spirit

With all that I am - rain on me

Wash me and fill me

Purify me

Cleanse me and make me whole

Soak me in you

That I be renewed

Spirit of God  -

let me feel your rain once again!

When the summer rain comes

So the storms of life come too

That blow and toss me around

But with your constant rain falling

 filling me afresh

I know I can stand my ground

PRAYER NEEDS FOR 2007

Prayer for:  New souls to be won into the kingdom of God.

Prayer for:  A greater outpouring of the Holy Spirit in our meetings through signs wonders and miracles.

Prayer for:  Wisdom and guidance of God as we oversight and plan future evangelism events in South Africa and beyond. May he show us HIS plan for the ministry, and the correct pathway to walk.

Prayer for:  God's protection over our lives and everyone that is working alongside this ministry, as we go through very rugged and dangerous territory throughout South Africa and other nations of Africa.

Prayer for: Workers to volunteer to join up and work alongside the ministry with kingdom vision to help us bring in the harvest.

Prayer for:  Personal financial support on a regular basis, so we can continue working in HIS harvest field here in Africa.

Prayer for:  Finance provision of a 4x4 vehicle to pull our evangelism crusade caravan whilst on crusade and organizing future events in various areas/countries of Africa.

Prayer for:  Finance provision for building a large mobile stage platform to be taken and used for our evangelistic crusades.

Prayer for:  Finance provision to buy land / or donation of land in the outer Johannesburg region of South Africa around Krugersdorp, Muldersdrift, Magaliesburg, Honeydew area. We want to use this land to build a base for the ministry, training centre for the training of young upcoming evangelists, and a refuge for our people to come back to after being out working in the field.

Prayer for:  Finance provision for 5 more outdoor speakers for our outdoor mass evangelism crusades, as our crowds are continuing to grow, and we need to be able to reach them with adequate sound.

That the Lord will bless our new web site, and that there will be a further interest into the ministry because of a wealth of information there.
