Bungeni Village Trust Land/ Mass Gospel Crusade: WOW - talk about a fantastic move of God!!
It was amazing! I hope we can show you through our photos some of what took place there up in Bungeni (between Elim & Giyani). As well as our friend Bennet from Germany, we also had two very special and mighty men of God come with us as part of our team from Vaalwater South Africa – Daniel and Simon.

We also had another guest with us as part of our team on this crusade all the way from the Philippines. Her name was Rhocelle Anne Bernado.
The Pastors were all calling Ros a mother of many nations, as they saw the unity in our team made up of so many different nationalities, and the connection between us.
For those in the crowd that put their hands up to invite Jesus Christ into their life and receive him as their Lord, we had a high 80% convert rate from all the local villagers.
It was really amazing over this crusade time as we learned by the other Pastors involved that this particular village made up of Tsonga people had never had a mass gospel crusade before, but instead were very hard spiritually and skeptical, and for many years had always booted out all the evangelists to ever try and go there. Even the great evangelist Reinhard Bonke was booted out of this village when he tried to do a campaign there years ago.
Don’t get me wrong though – we did go through and come up against very much opposition, with even the local Sangorma wanting to boot us out in the beginning, and our guys having to rig all our equipment 3x before we even started the crusade - (they were all very tired from rigging 3 times over) but we managed to stay and brake through on both the physical and spiritual side. (I really admire all our guys on the team as none of them ever moaned once about the situations we were facing or were negative in any way, but instead worked together in total joy and unity). We even had the chief’s advocate come for 2 nights of the crusade and had Des pray for him. He announced publicly on stage that the Chief recognizes that the power of God follows this ministry with signs, wonders and miracles, and if anyone (even the Sangormas) mess with any aspect of this crusade, then the chief will deal with them personally.
We broke through and received much favor. The Chief’s advocate even went as far as publicly offering us land there to build a church on if we wanted it…which never before in the history of this village has ever been offered before – not even to the local Pastors that live in this village. The advocate went on even further to say that he just wanted us to know that all the Chief’s personal Nungas (witchdoctors) had all ran away and left the area over our time of crusading as they could not stand to be surrounded with such a strong power of the presence of God over the land, and so they had to leave the village and go elsewhere.
TESTAMONIES:
One woman that came forward was basically blind. She went up on stage and testified that she had been healed, and put her hand up and followed Des’s hand around to prove she could now see.
One boy below use to be deaf and couldn’t hear anything, now the Lord has healed him.
One man below came up on stage (previously paralyzed on one side of his body) and testified that he had been healed of a stroke. He put his hand straight out and shook Des’s hand to prove it.
One woman was born with a deformed hand, and God healed & straightened out her hand.
One woman below was born with one leg shorter than the other and a deformed hip. As Des prayed the prayer over the crowd for healing of deformed hips, she said that she felt her hips straighten up and one leg grew in front of her own eyes, and those beside her in the crowd also saw. She said she also felt like she was on FIRE!! When she came on the stage to testify she was walking perfectly. God had healed her.
Our team had a great time away and really enjoyed themselves. After the crusade was over, went went away rejoicing - but were all very worn out and so we all went to a Korean missionary’s house (P’s James Yang) in Polokwane and stayed with him and his family for the night. Our guys all embraced his culture with open arms…..and especially loved trying all their new Korean food dishes.
At this point we would really like to thank two of our sponsors: Bernard –For helping us to get our new mobile stage unit, by giving us so many good solid metal panels to build from. Armand – For your support in helping us to get a new professional camera and tripod. Thankyou both very much for your interest and support into our ministry!!
Once again – We give God all the glory…. For he has done great things!!
