                                         January 2008

Hi everyone.

Welcome to 2008 @  L.E.I

We are really excited about this coming year, and want to share with you all our 2008 projects we are currently running.

B.I.A Project
(Bibles into Africa) For sending God’s word out to destitute or rural people who cant afford to buy one.

Blankets Project
For all destitute, homeless, elderly and children in remote or squatter areas who have nothing.

F.A.C Project
(Feed a child)  Is for helping to feed destitute children in orphanages & township regions.

A.B.K Knitting Project
(African Babies Knitting) project is a form of one on one evangelism - by taking donated knitted booties, hats etc into the hospitals for mothers that have just given birth, and ministering to them personally. The booties etc come in a small plastic packet with our details on and also a booklet on how to reach God from a Christian perspective with scriptures.

P.I Project
(Preach It)   For helping to financially back our evangelistic outdoor crusades and outreaches all over Southern Africa

School Project
For pens, pencils, rubbers, paper, books, stationary, chalk, math’s compasses,  for underprivileged school children.

For more info or those interested in making a donation into any of these projects, please see our bank details below (L.E.I Trust), or write to us on:
Thankyou for your support and into our ministry

New book update:
We started the new year of 2008 off with a real “bang”, by having the privilege of being able to have some in-depth interviews, and also some  short drama re-enactments at SABC for a Christian T.V producer, for the new T.V sitcom that is about to come out in the next month called  24/7. This was all done in conjunction with our new book that is just about to come out this year. (Life on the line).       …..watch for it on our web site!!

For anyone wanting to place an order:
For receiving a copy of this book when it finally comes out, please email us at   with all your address and phone details, and we will put you on our mailing list to receive the book...... (Price not yet known)

For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat,
I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink,
I was a stranger and you invited me in,
I needed clothes and you clothed me,
I was sick and you looked after me,
I was in prison and you came to
 visit me.

Mathew 25: 35 – 37

Knitting – again:
For all who are interested in helping with humanitarian aid,  we would like to continue on this year with our knitting project for underprivileged babies here in South Africa, as last year it went with such a great success.

If you can donate either wool , booties or hats ready made, woolen squares – whatever -  we would be glad to take them and then hand them out to all those that are underprivileged.

Please post them to the following address:

Life Evangelism International

South Africa

Thanks!

Feeding Program:
Our feeding program for reaching out to destitute people that live in the parks and fields surrounding Pretoria continued on over the Christmas and throughout the New Year period. I am actually finding that there are more and more people coming out of the bushes to join with our Woolworths program and get food from us once a week.

There are so many people that are homeless in just a short radius around from where we live, it is quite scary! The majority of these being a mixture of illegal immigrants, S.A homeless old people, and a few S.A drunks.

There are MANY young guys now rearing their heads and coming out, as well as all the older people - however the main majority of all the younger people are (as we know it) - illegal immigrants, as many of them can barely speak a word of English!! Majority of them being from Mozambique, Zimbabwe, and Malawi.

We have literally doubled in numbers from the Christmas/New year period till now with all the new people now needing to come to get food.

We thank God for Woolworths supermarket and the very generous portions of food that they are giving to us, so we can then pass it on and be a lifeline to others!

Please pray with us that God will bless the Woolworths supermarket and that it may prosper incredibly, for what they have been prepared to let go and donate, giving to many destitute people groups living in South Africa.
May the Lord richly bless you!!

Bibles into Africa:

We had the opportunity late last year of being donated some bibles in various SA languages from EHCSA.

These bibles are currently getting distributed to different rural Pastors around the country that don’t have their own bible in an indigenous language.

Many thanks to EHCSA for their input into South Africa, changing many people’s lives.

Blankets and Clothing:
We have been going out to where all the parks and fields are around our suburb for more than 8 months now, and the need is just growing incredibly as we have many new people come and join our L.E.I  humanitarian project, both young and old !!.

We have had rain for at least 2 weeks now constantly, and it’s not ready yet to ease up!! Today (22nd Jan) we took out shoes for some of the guys living out in the fields, (as many had none)  and dry 2nd hand clothing. We had 4 large rubbish sacks filled with clothes and at least 20 pairs of men’s 2nd hand shoes.

They all immediately started to put them on to wear them.

They were very excited, and may thanks goes out to our sponsors for helping us provide these necessary items of need.

People  - please, we need to ask for your donation in order to help all these guys survive. We are currently on the hunt for BLANKETS.
To buy a blanket here in South Africa, you are looking at approx R 28.00 per item. (USA $4.00).

We need to raise funds for blankets for these destitute people if they are going to make it through our freezing winter, as these guys have no shelter or shanty, but sleep outside in the open fields.

For anyone who can help us reach out to them by buying a blanket, our bank details are below.

(For any businessmen interested in donating from your business, our Trust has N.P.O status with Tax exemption and section 18A)
