We had a great month over this past June. Schools, Rubbish dumps, helping homeless people in need over winter.
Blankets: Evangelist Des Sinclair and L.E.I received some generous donations this past month, one of which was for 173 blankets that were then handed out by LEI to the underprivileged and homeless here in South Africa. Below are a few photos of us handing them out to various different groups that are living in long grassy fields in Pretoria with no shelter.
All the men were really excited to each receive a blanket, and were really grateful!
That day we also handed out food to each group waiting in line. Many thanks go out to both Woolworth’s supermarket and Spurs Restaurant for their help in reaching out to the destitute here in South Africa.
We also gave out the blankets to many old women that also lived in the fields that were trying to make some money by selling clay pots at the side of the road, and also quite a number of blind people in Pretoria that were begging on the side of the roads and city streets, and poverty stricken children.
2nd Hand Clothing:
While organizing our next crusade in Nylstroom township, we went to a public daycare centre and handed out 6 rubbish bags of women and children’s clothing, and various 2nd hand shoes.
2nd Hand Carpet Squares:
While at the daycare centre, Evangelist Des Sinclair also handed over carpet squares that are rubberized at the bottoms, in order to help the young children retain more warmth over the cold winter period as they sit on the concrete floor in a tin shack.
School Children:
While on our trip up to Vaalwater in June to check up on the last crusade results and follow-up, Evangelist Des Sinclair and his wife Roslynn went into a little school about 30km outside of Vaalwater, and treated all their students with pencils, rubbers, pencil sharpeners, stickers, bouncing rubber balls, outdoor games etc .
These items were all donated by Jesus First Church in Auckland New Zealand.
The children were all really excited to receive the gifts and couldn’t wait to start playing with everything. Both Roslynn and the local headmaster handed out everything.
