PRISON MINISTRY
We had another great trip into the men's prison in Johannesburg this past month.
We had a large group come with us this month to the men's max security prison in Johannesburg, including members of our church.
Life Evangelism International went to the juvenile section this time where Evangelist Des Sinclair spoke the word of life to the prisoners bringing many young men to salvation in Jesus Christ. As he spoke, there were many that were up the front of the meeting crying and sobbing as Des shared about repentance and turning away from your sin, and how we need a savior.
MINISTRY TRIP TO NEW ZEALAND
Des and Ros Sinclair headed out in August to their home country of New Zealand in order to have some church meetings, crusades, and speak to bible students. The photo above is of Des speaking to some bible students of Jesus First Church, held at Massy University in Auckland.
While in N.Z, Des and Ros were also able to catch up with both sides of their families, of whom they had not seen any of for over 8 years, as they had been working over in Africa.
It was good to see everyone again after so long, and the bonus was that they were given a car, cell phone and spending money by a church in Thames that they are in relationship with, and were able to drive down the North Island in order to see everyone (and the country once again). They were really blessed and grateful by the generosity of this church.
May the lord richly bless the community of Thames - New Zealand for what they have freely given out!
This photo to the right is of the New Zealand famous HUKA FALLS in Taupo.
These photos below are of Des and Ros on the beach at Mount Maunganui in Tauranga.
Overall it was a good successful trip, but tiring coming back as it was a long flight of 18 hours on a Qantas plane.
(Good food though, and Ros loved their Aussie Ginger beer!)
The photo taken to the right was at Rotorua, ( in the North Island) where hot mud comes out of the ground constantly on an on going basis at a temperature that is forever volcanically boiling from underneath the ground.
This last photo was taken on a nature walk going through part of the forest up the Coramandel.
2nd Hand Clothing:
Life Evangelism International was given by a school in south Johannesburg, a small truck loaded of 2nd hand clothing in order for them to go through, sort out and then distribute to those in local communities that are poor and destitute.
We at L.E.I are very grateful to Mondeor Primary school for all of their support to our ministry.
We will be asking over the next month all the members of our church (FREE LIFE CHURCH - JHB) to come and help us "wade" through all the clothing and put them into specific piles and groups, getting them ready for distribution.
ABK Knitting Project:
Just a small note also about our L.E.I knitting project, It is currently going very well.
(We are having donated booties, hats etc for babies knitted for L.E.I and then distributed out to the local community to hospitals where poverty stricken mothers have just given birth)
We have had some donors from America and New Zealand also send parcels over to us over the past few months, with more promised in the near future.
God is really moving this project forward, and we praise him for what he is doing in people's lives by the simple fact of knitting and sharing his love with others that do not know him.
Prayer Needs:
¨ People to help sponsor financially on a regular basis
¨ Needing workers to come across to South Africa and work with us on a volunteer basis on both short and long term.
¨ Praying in a new sound guy needed for our crusades and to help with DVD editing.
