At L.E.I, we want to be able to bless and help all those children in South Africa who have nothing.
Many are the times we have been through children centres, creach's, hospitals etc and have found that the children have absolutly no toys there to play with, paper and colorpens to draw with, or books to read - nothing!
We went through a local state hospital recently and gave out toys for all the children there, and you should have seen the pure delight on their faces. Others still waiting, looking on from other wards (that we had not yet come to), came running out quickly asking us if we were also going to their ward, and not to forget them. They all waited with great antisipation, wondering if there was going to be some toys left for them also from our toy box, by the time we finally got to their ward.
At L.E.I, we want to create a channel where YOU can send your (good) 2nd hand toys, books, pencils etc off to us, so we can then take them to the local children here in South Africa who really need them.
IMPORTANT
- When you send your parcel/box over to us - it is VERY IMPORTANT that you only send the items over in a reasonable sized parcel/box and not in a huge one.
The reason is that if you send a lot of items at once over, then the South African Government in customs will charge L.E.I Trust duties over on our side to the price equivilent of the garments retail price. This price can end up being a huge burden on our L.E.I Trust, (which is a charity to the people here in South Africa).
