Written by Ros Sinclair

  07 03 2011

Over this past year, Dr’s Des and Ros Sinclair have been busily involved with ministry all around the country of South Africa.   Wow, so much has happened to us this year it’s been truly unbelievable. It’s hard to consider and remember everything that has actually gone on.

I found a new saying over this year: When God moves – HE MOVES!

Firstly - we would like to welcome our new trustees on board the LEI Trust, and pray God will also bless you mightily for all the time, effort and energy that has and is being put into making this Trust happen.

At this time I would also like to thank all the input from ladies around the world that have been sending L.E.I soft toys,  booties, hats, jerseys, vests, layettes etc for babies. We have been able to place these items in 2010 all over the country in various hospitals and orphanages.

In amongst being busy with all our work in the LEI Trust, we have also been involved in 2010 ministering in MANY churches and groups (cross denominationally) hospitals, squatter camp ministry, old people homes, men’s prisons, and crusades: both in tents, halls and outdoors, and involved also in International ministry overseas. We went all over the country backwards and forwards, sideways and straight. It was a good year! Extremely busy – but good!

Well – all that happened this past year – now here in this year of 2011 we are still running on an incredible journey. Already we have been able to provide orphanages and adoption agencies with thousands of Rand worth of brand new baby clothes and accessories. We also had the privilege of giving away to a women’s skills development project in Pretoria:  2 sewing machines and 2 Overlockers from LEI Trust, to help them in their development of learning to sew.

Des and Ros have been involved in speaking cross denominationally in Churches in 2011, and also involved in conference speaking.

One such conference was held in Potchefstroom for students in University. This was held on a private game farm just on the outskirts of Potch, and many of these students that came, came from very traditional church backgrounds. Well – we had a wonderful time there.

Des spoke on the subjects of: Faith, Vision and the Holy Spirit.  Many of them put their hand up to receive Jesus into their lives, and at the end of our time there, quite a few of the students came up to us asking us to baptize them (as they had only been christened as a baby – not water baptized).

So off we all went squashed into a combi-van and went to another property nearby that had a swimming pool, and managed to baptize them all there.

– we had a great time –

We believe in touching the lives of the next generation that go after us for helping to change and uplift the nation of South Africa and beyond.

Our book: LIFE ON THE LINE – Al Gibson

is going really well. We have had a fantastic response here in South Africa over the past few years, and is currently really picking up momentum at the moment in Europe. Over the 2nd ½ of 2010 and into 2011 we had many overseas journalists from magazines, newspapers and online magazines do interviews with us, either writing via email, or interviewing us over the phone.

I think the last thing I want to say before I finish this newsletter is a very big THANK YOU to all our financial sponsors and supporters, our prayer warriors and friends who have supported us over this past year of 2010 and into 2011!

Many thanks to everyone for your commitment financially into the lives of Des and Ros personally. Also your passionate interest and finances into the work of God.
