The Capacity To Hear And Obey PDF Print E-mail
Written by Administrator
This week in my devotions I was touched and challenged afresh by this verse:  Ps 40:6 "Sacrifice and offering You do not desire, nor have You delight in them; You have given me the capacity to hear and obey [Your law, a more valuable service than] burnt offerings and sin offerings [which] You do not require."  AMP

My message is simple. God was saying to me that He has given me the capacity to hear and obey. This is a more valuable service or offering than anything else.

I know how pleased I am when my own children obey. How many of you with teenagers know that they donít have the capacity to hear? If they donít hear then it wasnít their fault that they didn't obey because they didnít know!  How much different are we? A lot I hope. But sometimes ìotherî people have selective healing. We pray for other people today Lord and of course help us be an example. (written with tongue in cheek for those who don't know my sense of humour).

Have a great day.
