Ps 46:7 "The LORD of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah."

When we see the word Selah it means we are to stop and consider. [pause, and calmly think of that] the Amplified says.

So my message is simple today. Think about the fact that the Lord of Hosts is with you.  Wow.  If He is for you who can be against you.

Prov 13:18 "Poverty and shame come to him who refuses instruction and correction, but he who heeds reproof is honoured." AMP

This verse underlines to me the importance of receiving instruction and a reproof if one is needed.

As I read this I thought about a course that I have just completed. There was some instruction there that I have not yet put into practise.  This verse brought to my mind that I can avoid poverty and shame if I apply the instruction. So it brought it back to my attention to apply what I have learned.

I guess in simple terms it is the message of James. We need to be doers of the word and not hearers only.
