We have had a great success so far, in calling the local pastors into unity, and working together. It has been wonderful for both us and the pastors also, as the church here has until now, been very much divided.
The pastors told us when we first arrived, that' the surrounding districts would not come and be involved, due to "political differences".
But GOD gave Des a vision and showed us that: angels would appear to
particular villages and people, and that we needed to go to them, and that they would be very open, as GOD had already prepared the way and their hearts through visitation. Praise GOD! It has been true! We now have a great rural involvement!!
The local pastors in Nyeri are both very much excited and amazed. They are saying that GOD has truly gone before us every step of the way, and that this has never happened before in the city of Nyeri. Such unity. He has blessed the people with many miracles already, and the people are very excited, as they have never seen such an amount of miracles happen in a short space of time, as in Nyeri they are very few and far between.
Last Sunday Des preached in an A.O.G church, and the morning church service did not end until three: pm in the afternoon. Even then some of them did not want to go home, but instead were still staying seated down the back of the church, soaking up the presence of GOD !!
Six people that were prayed for, were blind in one eye, and were shortsighted in the other. Praise GOD they were healed!! Also, one woman had one leg longer than the other (approximately 10 cm's) and had to walk with a stick, also had to walk bent over with a deformed back.
When she was prayed for, praise GOD she could then stand tall, and walk up and down the church freely without her stick. She looked like she was 'in her 60's. She cried!!!
People with kidney problems, tonsils and adenoid problems were healed.
Also one little boy, approximately four years old with a cancer tuma on the left hand side of the brain.
His mother told Des and the Pastors of the church that they had been to the best medical care in Nairobi, but that there was nothing they could do for him, so over time "he was left to die"!
When we prayed for him on Sunday he could hardly see, and was going blind because of the effects of the tuma on his brain. BUT after we prayed for him, he could then see clearly, and could follow Des's hand when it was moved around quickly with his own hand. Also the lump on his head had shrunk tremendously, and the Lord quickened to Des to tell the woman to pray continuously, while laying hands on her son's head, for the period of one-week.
So we are believing that the little boy will be completely healed to the glory of GOD.
