Last Friday night Des preached at a city combined "all night" prayer meeting in Nyeri, Kenya.
The Pastors of the city had gathered the sick 'in the community, and brought them into the meeting, believing that GOD would heal them. Some sick people walked for up to 800 km because they had heard that God was in town in Nyeri. They came walking from Sudan and Tanzania.
As Des was preaching (about one a.m. in the morning) a bright blue mist suddenly appeared through the 6 wooden windows on each side of the church, and then slowly came up the middle of the isle behind Des and his interpreter. It then turned around and started coming forward.
Then all of a sudden - all I can say is, it was like God blew his mouth with wind of an incredible force and peace, - a strong breeze blew through one side of the congregation and some of them (the congregation) were also blown over while seated in their pews. It was very powerful.
Then this mist – blowing like wind blew over the other side of the congregation with the same effects happening.
There was a lot of excitement coming from the back of the church, as those that were crippled were now walking and running around the church. TO THE GLORY OF GOD!
The Pastors brought to Des a man (about 37yrs old). This man had been born with no ear-drums, and so could not speak. As Des then prayed for him, immediately he could hear in his right ear, so Des then prayed again, and this time his hearing was restored fully.
All the Pastors in the meeting spent about 1/2hour with this man, testing his hearing and speaking to Him, immediately he was able to pronounce some of their words. Praise GOD !!
Pastors have reported since, that this man is now learning their local language and has given his heart to the Lord, and is fellow shipping 'in a local Assemblies Of God church.
It certainly was an amazing meeting. We have never seen God pour out his spirit in such a great measure before in one place!!
