On our last crusade trip up to Valwater we did an open air crusade on a game farm which went really well. Most of the African game farm workers have never heard the true gospel before. The white farm owners believe in Valwater that the Africans do not even have a soul... really racist “right wingers”!! The farmers didn't even want their workers to come to the crusade and told their workers that if they came - then they would be in jeopardy of loosing their jobs! We confronted the farmers about this in church, and the head farmer for the Valwater area stood up (him also an elder in the church) and said that they couldn't allow the workers to worship they same God that they do, or else it would mean the workers would know their true rights in life biblically and could cause them to have less control on their workers. They told us that "they don't deserve to be able to worship our God". Even the white missionaries in this area refused to come along and help with the meeting, saying that they were only called to the Afrikaans people only and not the blacks! Anyway - for those that were so hungry for God and did venture out and come to the meeting. There was a great expectation and excitement in the air that night. The lord moved really powerfully and we had a really high conversion rate. All praise be to GOD almighty!! The Lord opened deaf ears, deformed legs were straightened, many with demonic headaches were healed and people set free from demonic fear over their lives. We even had a lot of men and women from the cult Z.C.C come along to the crusade. (Zionist Christian Church). After the meeting some of the men came forward and with tears in their eyes they took off and laid down their star badges that they all wear and said "we don't need this anymore". (That night Des preached on "the precious blood of Jesus"). The men said to us "now we understand what Jesus has truly done for us, that he became the ultimate sacrifice and we don't need to keep making sacrifices in order to appease God's anger upon us". PRAISE THE LORD!! This photo is of Des preaching at the crusade on the game farm in Valwater.
